When dental caries (decay) starts and progresses in a tooth, rapid treatment is vital in limiting your discomfort and preventing further damage to the tooth. We'll look to use fillings when the decay isn't deep into the tooth, first removing all debris and decay before filling the hole with the composite or amalgam material.
