THEY'RE JUST LIKE THE REAL THING
Missing one or more teeth can have a huge impact on your day-to-day. It may be harder to eat your favourite foods, you may notice issues with your speech and, like many, a gap in your smile may even knock your self-esteem. Dental implants with Crawley Dental Clinic could solve these issues.
Made from surgical-grade titanium alloy, our dental implants go directly in the jawbone before being fitted with a prosthetic that looks, feels and acts exactly like a real tooth. As dental implants are fixed, you shouldn't experience movement or discomfort when eating or talking, allowing you to get on with those daily tasks.
Dental Implants can also be used to replace ALL of your teeth (All on 4). You do not need to have individual implants for each tooth. Usually 4 to 6 implants are used as anchors to replace multiple teeth in your mouth.
You can choose to have a fixed bridge attached to the implants which will look and feel as close to your natural teeth as possible. Another option can be a removable denture attached via anchoring devices to the dental implants, this denture will be tightly fitting as well as also be removed easily.

A VERSATILE OPTION
Whilst other restorative treatments are extremely effective, root canals are not always successful, bridges require healthy adjacent teeth to be cut down, and removable dentures can often require the use of sticky adhesives. Dental implants are a solution to all of these problems, and many of the frustrations associated with natural teeth are eliminated.
HOW IT WORKS:
Initially, the implant is placed into the jawbone either immediately after the loss of a tooth or after an extended period of time. If there is insufficient bone, various bone enhancing procedures can be performed prior to the implant placement.
An abutment, which acts as a base for a prosthetic tooth replacement such as a crown, is either inserted into the implant at the time of implant placement or subsequently after a period of healing. Your dentist will try to keep or replace teeth with treatments such as root canals, bridges, and fixed or removable dentures.
